OOTD & A plea for advice…

Hi girls, a late one from me tonight! I’ve been shopping, done some housework and packed a few things in readiness to post tomorrow. Phew, a lot of work for the a plonk my bum on the sofa as soon as I get home from work type that I am! Just enough time to do a quick outfit post and catch up on all of your wonderful posts before going to bed!

This is what I wore when I went shopping Saturday…

 Glasses Necklace – Temporary Secretary
Blouse – Primark
Jeggings – really, really old
Boots- Peacocks
Bag – Primark

I thought I’d quickly show you my face as well because I’m wearing my ELF gel liner in ‘gunmetal’ here and I love it! I’m still new to applying liner on the top lash but I’m slowly getting there! I’m not wearing a lot of other make up here, just the usual Rimmel 25 hour foundation, Rimmel blusher & Rimmel powder. I can’t remember what I had on on my lips sorry! *bad blogger*

Plea for advice…

The second part of the post is me, asking you, my lovely readers, for help! I’ve got a Christening coming up at the end of the month. Its at a Church followed by an evening reception – what does one wear to a Christening? Its a Sunday church affair so I don’t really feel like I should be getting all dolled up!

I did see the below dress in my local Peacocks today and I do have Peacocks vouchers so that would be ideal, is it suitable for a Christening? Is it too casual? ARRRGGHHH I have no idea!!!

    Love your outfit!
Make up looks flawless, off to purchase gun metal now..
Erm what about a maxi dress? That's quite summery and you could dress it up or down?
The dress above is really nice. You could perhaps pair it with some tan wedges and a blazer to de-casual it haha
    Hope that helps somehow!xx

Hi! I think dress is nice, I was a godmother for my cousin son's a few years ago so I wore a dressier dress, but then again I was the godmother.

I think its a lovely dress and would be great for a Christening. It's not too dressy and certainly not too casual xo

  16. 28th December 2011 / 11:31 pm

I think the dress is perfect for a Christening! I love it. There's something about the neck line that makes it somewhat churchy. Just me? Hopefully! Haha. I really think you should get the dress no matter what. If not I'll just have to steal your vouchers and get it myself. mwhaha. x

That dress is gorgeous! You should definitely get it anyways 🙂

I think that dress would be lovely for a christening! Especially if there's an evening reception after. But it depends what you prefer, really. At my cousin's christening last year my family were all quite dressy (I wore a blue and black dress with black tights and heels) while another family who were there were really casual (almost too casual though, I thought!)

Hey sugar, i had my godson christening last year and i wore something quite similar to that, i htink its fine. I always find anything formal a bit of a nightmare!XX

I'm going to a Christening Sunday and purchased my dress from BooHoo.com, it's a lovely floral maxi dress which I think is perfect for a Christening! I think that dress is fine for a Christening, just glam it up a little with some nude/white heels and some pretty jewellery!
    xoxo

i love that necklace! i think you could wear that either casual or more dressed up- maybe for the christening put a cardigan over the top and a pair of wedges with a nice little bag to go with and some pretty jewellery? x

First of all I'm yet again lusting over your jewelry. But I think the dress would be appropriate for a christening. Wear a nice pair of flats or low heels and keep your makeup natural and I think it would look great.
