Monthly Summary, December

Monthly Summary, December

It doesn’t seem like 5 minutes since I wrote my last monthly post. I won’t be going into as much detail as usual and unfortunately have no favourites this month. This month has been so crazy I haven’t really had time to try out anything new or reflect on things. I’ve just been using the same old products day in, day out.

The products that I’ve used in full this month…

Colbert MD Nourish Eye Cream sample from September Boudoir Prive. As you may well know I love receiving eye creams in my beauty boxes. This one wasn’t a let down. The under eye area felt a lot smoother after using this, and my wrinkles did actually appear reduced. At £90 a pot I won’t be re-purchasing.

Original Source Shower Gel Shea Butter and Honey. I wouldn’t usually include my day to day shower gels in my monthly posts but I had to share this one with you. This is the nicest smelling shower gel I have ever used. It smells absolutely amazing and is also really creamy and moisturising.

Rahua Volunious Shampoo & Conditioner samples from November Boudoir Prive. These samples weren’t really enough to get a feel for the product. My hair did feel nice after using them but I didn’t notice any dramatic increase in volume. One of these sachets tore on the side and leaked everywhere, which backs up my hatred for these type of samples.

Korres Wild Rose 24-Hour Moisturiser sample from November Boudoir Prive. I used this facial moisturiser in the mornings before applying my make-up. It was nice with a subtle fragrance but didn’t have any stand out factors. If I saw it in a shop for a reasonable price I would probably buy it, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to order it on-line.

Arbonne FC5 Cooling Foot Creme sample from November GlossyBox. I used this daily. It felt nice on application but I feel that the sample wasn’t big enough to notice any visible improvements.

Memo Paris Les Echappees (Sundance) sample from October Boudoir Prive. I absolutely loved this perfume and was gutted when this sample came to an end. Unfortunately I won’t be re-purchasing as its out of my price range, still it was nice to wear a luxurious perfume while it lasted.

Dermalogica Renewal Lip Complex sample from October GlossyBox. This was nice but I didn’t notice any huge difference between using this and using my regular Vaseline. I am a bit of a lip balm junkie which I think has quite a bad effect as my lips rely on it. When using this I still felt the need to apply my Vaseline throughout the day.

Natural Collection Vanilla Body Spray. I received a set of Natural Collection Body Sprays last Christmas, threw them in a drawer and never bothered with them. I stumbled across them in a recent clear out and fell in love with this one. I tend to use it for work or days when I’m not doing anything special. I’ve actually had a few people ask what perfume I’m wearing when wearing it! I am looking forward to trying out the other fragrances that I have from this collection.
Looking back…
Who doesn’t love December.
Some amazing times in December including meals with friends, the works Christmas party, Christmas, time off work and New Years Eve.
The highlight of December was finding out that I’m my firms Employee of the Year. Such a big achievement!
The downside to December was being ill over Christmas.
Looking forward…
I don’t have much planned yet for January yet, and to be honest I’m hoping it stays that way. I need to cut down on spending this year with the wedding coming up so must resist these nights out!
I do have a night out to Cardiff planned on the 7th for two of my good friends birthdays so am very much looking forward to that. Other than that I’m hoping just to spend some quality time in with Spencer. I want to spend more Saturday’s doing couple things like nice candle-lit three course meals.
Are you planning much for January or are you planning on winding down like myself?

Wow, you've used up a lot of products! I really need to concentrate on doing that, I just keep buying new ones and forgetting what I have! I'm also a lipbalm junkie. Cannot go an hour without re applying and it is really bad when I reply on it! What's your favourite lipbalm? x

It does seem like a lot! Mostly mini samples though so it isn't as much as it looks.
I tend to just use Vaseline on my lips. Although I did receive a Rose & Co balm in a BP box a while back and I love it! That is available in Tesco, not sure where else x
