Valentine’s Wishlist

Valentine’s Wishlist

I’m sure it hasn’t escaped anyone’s attention that Valentine’s Day is fast approaching. Spencer and I don’t really celebrate Valentine’s Day, but it is the anniversary of our first date on the 17th February (five years this year) so we tend to celebrate that instead. (We remember the date because he got a speeding ticket, on our first date!). This year we will be going out for a meal, we’ll be getting a taxi there and back so that we can share a bottle of wine or two, a proper date to celebrate five years since the first!

We always agree not to buy presents, but I then have a strop if he actually listens to that! These are some of things that I would like to receive:

Large Yankee Candle in True Rose £18.99. I smelt this today and it is absolutely stunning, the perfect romantic scent. I would love to burn this when we got home from our romantic meal. The great thing about Yankee Candles is that they have so many different sizes and price options they are within budget for most. The shop that sells them in my town sells the wax tarts in this flavour for just £0.99. No excuses.

Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Ultra Lipstick £6.95. Again, another reasonably priced, decent quality gift. The RRP on this is actually £18 so you can’t really argue with the price on Cheap Smells. I would love to receive this in Rouge, I would wear this on the date.

MUA Love Heart Lip Balms £2.00. MUA’s new Love Heart range is just too cute. I’ve not yet tried these but I want them just for the packaging. I’m a lip balm addict so would get plenty of use from this. I would like to receive this a couple of days before the date to get my lips in perfect condition for all the kissing.

Gossip Girl Box set seasons 1-4 £44.99. Being a couple on a budget this is something that I most definitely won’t be receiving! Its always good to throw in a more expensive item on your wishlist, just in case they’re feeling generous! I would watch this back to back the day after the date for the perfect hangover cure.

MUA Love Hearts Nail Varnish £2.00. Another product from MUA’s new range. Again, thrown in for pure cuteness. What girl wouldn’t like to receive Love Heart branded make-up for Valentine’s day?

If, like my man, the man in your life is likely to forget to buy a present then this may be worth thinking about. Cheap Smells are offering 10% off their his & hers Valentine selection. I’m seriously considering this one as I think its a really cute idea. We can wear our matching fragrances for our date 🙂 Don’t forget to enter the code ‘HisHers10’ for this one, and use it by 12 February.

The only problem I have with this promotion is that I have no idea what any of these perfumes smell like, I’m not the best with perfume! Out of this selection what would you recommend that I try?

I also have a code for a 10% discount off personalised cards in my right sidebar, don’t forget to take advantage of that!

Will you be celebrating Valentine’s Day? What is the one gift you would like to receive?

*Disclaimer: This is not a sponsored post, I have not been asked to post about any of these products/offers. I just wanted to share them with you, my readers.*

A bit of scent advice from an expert (ha, I wish I was one…) 😛

CK Shock is beautiful – love both, mens and womens. Mens isn't too spicy or strong and womens smells quite light at first and then dries down to a delicious chocolate-y smell.

The Paul Smith ones are a safe bet too – they're quite classic, easy to wear and 'young' fragrances.

PS: Those MUA Love Heart Lip Balms look SO cute!

Thanks for the advice! I am quite tempted by the CK shock as the bottles are both lovely and would look so pretty together, yes, I really am that sad! Chocolate smell sounds good to me too 🙂
May have to follow this advice 🙂 x

I absolutely love those nail polish colours!

I'm single so won't be celebrating Valentine's Day, but even if I was in a relationship I doubt I'd be celebrating it – i find it one of those holidays that makes you feel bad if you're single, and under pressure if you are in a relationship.

I love Valentine's day but am always left disappointed as my partner doesn't like it quite as much as me! x

I want ALL the MUA Love Heart Lip Balms! Too cute. Might hint to the bf, they are only 2 quid so he can get them all for me! Haha 🙂

I really want to try a Yankee candle, the true rose one looks lush.

I have two of the MUA lipbalms and they are amazing! Such a bargain too.

The True Rose yankee candle is absolutely amazing, in fact, all Yankee candles are! x

Our place is filled with candles as we truly love them, I believe when you have candles burning it gives your place a welcoming feeling and yankee really knows how to make candles that smell great, burn long and they are always coming out with new scents!

Hubby always gets very romantic and loving on Valentine's day. He likes to wine and dine us and tops it off with gifts of personalized Jewelry.

Last year we give him his very own star? With a certificate with his star's name, an astronomy DVD and a tutorial on how to find his star in the sky. He loved it.
    Take care.
    Love, Joan and Joann
