As you know from my previous post I was lucky enough to win the January Carmine box. I was also lucky enough to get hold of the February box using a discount code, it worked out at something stupid like £4.80 including postage – bargain!
I say : Can’t go wrong with a pink nail varnish, even though I’m sure I already own way too many! This looks like a lovely colour.
Carmine say : This fresh, feminine fragrance captures the scent of the delicate peony flower and compliments it with delightful fruity notes and warm amber undertones. It’s as if Yardley London managed to take spring and put it in a bottle!
I say : My sample looks half empty! I’m not sure if they were all that full or if I’m missing some, it certainly hasn’t leaked because there isn’t any scent on anything else. I really, really love this fragrance and am definitely planning on re-purchasing this.
Carmine say : Want to get noticed by those college frat boys? This peachy-apricot-coloured blush doubles up as an eye shadow and miraculously adds life to any skin tone. So hold the ketchup, here’s a taste of vintage America that will also go nicely in your handbag.
I say : I love The Balm. Their packaging is always so adorable! Really pleased to receive this. The shade is perfect for me and, as I’ve already said, I love the packaging!
Carmine say : A pot of sweet, shimmery dust to give your eyes a little something to smile about. Created by professional make-up artist Daniel Sandler, this incredibly versatile eye colour can be swept across the eyelids or mixed with water for a bolder effect.
I say : I shouldn’t be allowed loose powder products like this, I’m way too clumsy. Clumsiness aside I really love this product. The colour is beautiful and has a gorgeous shimmery to it. I’ve been wanting to try more Daniel Sandler products for a while and my wish has been granted with this.
Carmine say : The premium Italian brand used by top make-up artists, this elegant, intense pigment lipstick provides the perfect touch of long lasting colour. Chic and en vogue, it’s all you need for La Dolce Vita.
I say : First up, my main annoyance with this sample. The lipstick doesn’t wind down! I am so clumsy that I will end up snapping it. Grumbles aside this is a lovely lipstick. It feels really nice on and the colour is very wearable.
Carmine say : Get ready to brush your way to a sexy smile, a la Jessica Alba. From the Australian brand that makes formulas for coffee and tea drinkers, just a drop of this whitening toothpaste will leave your pearly whites in absolute mint condition!
I say : Not something I expected to receive in a beauty box, quite a good idea though. I do suffer with sensitive teeth so I am a little weary about ditching my Sensodyne to try this. I may use it alongside my Sensodyne for a while to see if my teeth are any whiter.
Total box contents approximately £35.84.
I received six products, two of which were full size.
I like that instead of including the perfume sample as one of our monthly items like many other boxes controversially do, they included it as a bonus product.
I did have one little gripe with this box, they didn’t provide any links to the products on their information card, instead they provided the companies Twitter name. I think providing the Twitter name is a great idea, but I do like to see the direct product link too.
Another impressive box from Carmine, seriously considering ditching GlossyBox and sticking with Carmine.
You can subscribe to Carmine for £10 + £2.75 P&P per month.
*Disclaimer : If you purchase a GlossyBox by clicking through on the link that I have provided I will be rewarded with points, which will go towards a free box for myself.*
