Crafty Creatives makes so far… #CCBox1 & 2
It seems that I get a lot more done without Spencer being here. I’ve had last month’s Crafty Creatives box sat around for a whole month and haven’t touched it. Spencer goes on his stag and I make three items using box 1 and 2. He should go away more often!
The first item that I made was the flower brooch that we received in our make it kit in box one. Sewing really isn’t my forte but I figured I may as well give it a go. I’m not really keen on it to be honest but knew I wouldn’t be any way as its not something I’d wear. I’m glad I tried it though.
The second item that I made is the nautical bracelet from the make it kit in box 2. As mentioned earlier sewing is not my forte so I opted to glue mine together instead of sewing it. I am quite messy so there is bits of glue everywhere, I personally think that adds to it and makes it look more unique! I’m sure that the glue will peel off in time. For a beginner I found this bracelet wasn’t actually too bad to make. I found the youtube tutorial very beneficial.
When I put the bracelet on I decided that I actually prefer it with the anchor charm dangling. Its clunking away on my keyboard as I type this 🙂
Last but not least I made pretty bunting using the wooden bunting flags and paper string from box two along with some material that I already had. I bought this material ages ago to make bunting but never got around to it. I was so pleased to see these wooden flags in the box as they made it so much easier to make. I simply cut the triangles a bit bigger than the flag covered the front, folded the edges over and glued to the back. I think I may need to buy more of these wooden bunting flags!
I’m so pleased with myself and must get my creative head on to think of things to make with the remaining items. But firstly I must do housework in readiness for my sleepover tonight…

P.S. All glued items are with the glue received in box one.

These are brilliant! I have both boxes but haven't made anything from them either, they're just stacked together in my study. Definitely going to have a go at making something with the wooden bunting though, that looks brilliant! And I love the anchor bracelet! X
