Hi guys, I hope you haven’t missed me too much (if at all ha!). I’m now back in cold, cold Britain after an amazing week in Hurghada, Egypt. We stayed in Sentido Crystal Bay Resort which was a great hotel with fantastic, friendly staff.
The temperature was lovely, most days it was between 27 – 30. It got dark at around 5pm and cooled down quite a bit in the evenings which was lovely for chilling at the all inclusive bar. Our hotel room was lovely, really light and spacious with a huge balcony from which the view was lovely.
We mostly stayed around the hotel sunbathing, eating, drinking and sleeping, a very much needed rest.
We did two excursions with Thomas Cook, one glass bottomed boat trip and a day trip to Luxor. In Luxor we visited The Karnak Temple, The Valley of the Kings where we went into three tombs, The Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, The Colossi of Memnon, The River Nile where we went on a little boat called Nobi, an Alabaster Factory and a Papyrus Factory. A very long but very good day.
Neither of us tan very well as we are typical pale skinned Welsh people who usually burn, thankfully neither of us burnt this time. We both have a lovely glow about us for the festive season. Here are a few more of my favourite photos of the holiday :
If you follow me on instagram you may have seen my photo of my awful Mosquito bites, they went to town on my feet and legs, they were so bad my feet actually swelled up like balloons! I bought some Aloe Vera gel and thankfully they have almost cleared now.
In other news I bought a gorgeous new vanity table today, quite the bargain at £149.99 from Dunelm Mill, the cats seem to like it too!
We bought this using some of the money that people very generously gave us for Wedding presents. We also plan on getting some nice off white laminate floor for both bedrooms upstairs, new carpet on the stairs and maybe a new bed. Our guests were very generous which overwhelmed us quite a bit!I hate to admit to this but I’ve had to mark all the blogs in my Google Reader and Bloglovin’ as read so I do apologise for not reading your posts. I had 1,455 in Bloglovin’ and Google Reader was showing as 1,000+, I couldn’t cope.
I go back to work tomorrow 🙁 It isn’t too bad though, I have one day in followed by the weekend off. Next week we finish early on the Friday for our Christmas party, the week after we finish early on the Friday as we are then off for Christmas 🙂
Onto bad news, my parents cat Alfie had to be put down today, he wasn’t far off 20 years old and was one of the cats that I grew up with, such sad news. RIP Alfie xxx
