My Wedding is already seeming like a distant memory! I posted a photo dump a while ago but am now going to do a few separate posts starting off with an overview of the day.
We got married at the Holiday Inn, Newport. We had the whole day and night there, I stayed there night before with my bridesmaids.
Me, my bridesmaids and my mother had to have the obligatory Bucks Fizz photo taken. Gracie, my flower girl and niece, loved being one of the big girls for the day.
This photo was taken when my dad saw me for the first time, I love how well the moment was captured.
The ceremony was lovely, just the right mixture of emotion and laughter.
I love this photo. This was taken when they asked if anyone had anything to declare, my cousin’s son was shouting things out and we were trying to suppress the laughter.
We went to Belle Vue Park for our photos and, despite the rain, Paul managed to take some of the most amazing photos. My dress is now black but it was worth it.
The top table was full of laughter throughout the speeches, everyone did a brilliant job. Bar the venue who forgot to put the champagne out for the toast, my empty glass says it all…
Our cake was amazing, the only downside to it was that it stole all the attention from myself! The cake was made by the amazing and very reasonably priced Epic Cakes. If you’re looking for a cake in the South Wales area I would highly recommend her.
The amazing band, The Velveteens, the two band members on the left of the photo are my cousins. Everyone commented on how good these guys were, they sang everything from Abba to Gangnam Style!
For our first dance we had the CD of Stereophonics, First Time Ever I Saw Your Face (I wanted to hear Kelly’s voice!) followed by the band belting out Black Eyed Peas, I’ve Got A Feeling.
Quite a few people joined us on the dance floor for Black Eyed Peas and then the party began.
What an amazing day! I plan on doing two more posts, one featuring the outfits and accessories and another showing you all the little details.
All photos used in this post were taken by Paul Adams.
