A blemish gel to powerfully bust blemishes…
New to the range is this blemish gel to powerfully bust blemishes. With Salicylic Acid to de-clog pores, allowing spots to shrink this multi-tasker reduces swelling and redness around spots, clears blemishes without over drying the skin and encourages fast and effective healing.
Now I’m not going to lie and tell you all that this is a miracle product because there isn’t such a thing, what I am going to tell you is that this is potentially one of the best spot clearing treatments that I have tried so far, and I have tried a lot.
Elemis recommend that you use this treatment mornings and evenings, you can also use it throughout the day over make-up. I tend to stick to twice a day as it isn’t something that I remember to apply throughout the day.
This clear gel sinks in quite quickly and doesn’t leave any residue. It does sting a little on nasty spots but isn’t too painful at all. I’ve found that if I manage to catch a spot before it comes out using this twice a day will prevent the spot from seeing the light of the day. If I’m not lucky enough to catch the spot before it rears its ugly head this gel definitely aids a speedy recovery. The one thing that has impressed me the most when using this on already developed spots is the way that the spots heal. I often come out in spots which are more like boils, these leave awful dry patches behind and take ages to heal completely. One appeared on Friday and is almost gone today (Tuesday) with only a teeny bit of dryness.
The packaging of this product is nice and simple. I like how the blue description sticks out so that you can easily see what it is. It has a nozzle type applicator and doesn’t distribute too much product in one go.
This has definitely got me considering switching to Elemis skincare. This gel is part of the Skinfresh Skin Clear range which is specifically designed for teens to 20s. I’ve not got long left in that age group (yikes) but annoyingly my acne likes to think that I’m still a teenager hitting puberty. This range is designed to target oily and blemish prone skin which I definitely have. The overnight serum is next on my list to try.
