Review : Betrousse Glitz and Glammour Box

Review : Betrousse Glitz and Glammour Box
Betrousse Glitz and Glammour Box £10*
I was lucky enough to receive the Betrousse Glitz and Glamour box for review purposes. The box is similar to other beauty boxes packaging wise with the tissue paper and the information card but the box itself is bigger, it is very similar to a shoe box.
Betrousse boxes work differently to the other beauty boxes out there. They only provide full size products (yay!) and there is no subscription. You just pay a one off fee as and when you want a box. All of the products are themed and usually range for between £17 – £19. You will know what is in the box before you buy.
So… what does the Glitz and Glamour kit contain…
Tulecos Tonifying Oil 50ml £33
This sounds so interesting. It is specifically intended for use on your feet. It smells very strongly of peppermint and has a lovely cooling effect. I suffer quite badly with dry skin on my feet so am looking forward to giving this a go. Priced at £33 I have high hopes for it.
Benta Berry G-1 Exfoliating Facial Cleanser for boys and girls 30ml £14
The menu states that this will leave skin soft, clean and complexion mattified. I quite like the bold packaging of this 100% natural product and it smells amazing. Benta Berry’s products are aimed at 12 – 24 year olds, I am a few years older than the intended market but will still use this as I still suffer with acne which is something that I associate with teenage skin.
Make Believe Beauty Enhance Shimmer Lip Gloss 15ml £10
This isn’t a shade that I would normally choose and I think £10 is quite expensive for a shimmer lip gloss. I’ll probably use this for a natural day time look in the Summer as it apparently enhances your tan.
Jason Normalising Shampoo 255ml £7.29
Another gorgeously scented product. This Jason shampoo uses Rosewater and Chamomile to balance the PH levels of the scalp. It should also help to beat frizz and keep hair hydrated. I suffer with dandruff and a lot of frizz, my ombre has also made the ends of my hair quite dry. On paper this is the perfect shampoo for me, I’m excited to try it.
Fair Naturally Mango & Sunflower Body Moisturiser 200ml £3.99
This seems to be a lower range product to the rest of the contents in the kit but that doesn’t bother me. It smells good enough to eat and you get a lot of product in the tube. Another natural product.
The total box contents come in at just under £70 and it costs £10 to buy.
If you don’t mind loosing the surprise element of the beauty box I highly recommend Betrousse, it is great that you know the total value of the box before you buy and that you will only receive full size products.
Their website is also worth checking out, they have an area in which you can register to test products and a beauty news section which includes tips such as how to make your own nail varnish.

That looks like a great range of products for a tenner! I think the surprise is the best and worst part of beauty boxes, though; a surprise is exciting but you're often disappointed. Nice that you don't have to subscribe, though!

The fact that you don't subscribe is a huge bonus to me. It also means you can buy them as lovely gifts for people 🙂 x

That shimmer lip gloss looks amazing, I'm always looking for a shade like that, light pink and shiny! And that oil sounds so good, I have to keep my eye out for something like that for my feet in the States!

Love the sound of the cleanser 🙂 I try use natural products if I can
The oil sounds lovely too, peppermint is one of my favourite scents, I'd be sniffing it all day haha. This box actually looks great! Love how you know what's in it before you buy it xx

I've been using the cleanser the last couple of weeks and it seems to be working well.
I love the smell of peppermint, but don't like the thought of putting my trotters near my nose haha!
