We went to watch Hairspray at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff on Thursday and had such a great day. We had a meal at GBK beforehand which was gorgeous. I did regret getting the huge milkshake as it was too filling but it was delicious all the same. I couldn’t resist taking a photo of the bar in the Wales Millennium Centre, it was so nice and I love that you can see the reverse of the writing on the outside of the building. We had amazing seats for the show and all thoroughly enjoyed it.
I’ve been working on my little old blog quite a bit this weekend. I’ve added a set of social media icons, thanks to a great tutorial by Sally and Ellie‘s generous free buttons. I’ve also added a little ‘about me’ blurb underneath my photo and a page showing some of my favourite blogs which I haven’t quite finished yet.
I saw this photo on facebook could not stop laughing at it. Simple things really can brighten up your day.
This week I’ve been colouring in my eyebrows a lot heavier than usual, I wasn’t sure what I thought of it at first but am now getting used to it and prefer it this way.
My new business cards from Moo arrived, they arrived super quickly and are great quality, the best thing is that I only paid for the postage! Thanks to Bex & Sarah for sharing that deal on Twitter.
I’ve had such a good weekend. Yesterday we went bowling with a load of other couples, there were ten of us altogether and we had such a good laugh. I didn’t do too badly either, I came second in my team which was a great surprise! Tonight we went out for a meal, again with other couples and ten people altogether, we went to the Stuffed Dormouse which is fastly becoming our favourite place to go for meals, two courses for £10 or three for £14.50 can’t really be argued with. I had the tomato & mozzarella salad to start, pork belly for main with a jacket potato and the Oreo cheesecake for pudding – yum.
We were still finishing off our M&S BBQ food* on Monday, Spencer made me this random little meal which consisted of sausages, bread rolls, coleslaw, homous and stilton. I followed Laura’s recipe to make Frittata which turned out absolutely delicious, I will definitely be making this again, hopefully next time my flan tin won’t leak causing egg mixture to be all over my kitchen floor! I’m obsessed with Oreo ice creams, they are to die for! I made cheese & onion omelette for lunch Friday and really enjoyed it, though I did go a bit overboard on the cheese, whoops.
Why is it that cats want to drink water anywhere other than from their bowl? Kitty actually knocked a plant pot over so that she could drink the water in it! We’ve all been enjoying the sunshine this weekend, Kitty loves rolling around in the chippings. Lorries should not drive down my street, it causes so much chaos and cars almost being crushed! There are a random load of crows around our house and they are terrorising us and all of the neighbours. There are literally hundreds of them and they make such a noise. They all fly out of the trees together and make a racket, they woke me up several times early hours this morning and are driving the cats crazy. Both cats were sitting on the window meowing at them this morning. Kitty actually ran in the house scared when a huge flock flew over earlier.
I made cheese & potato pie which was delicious. Before going bowling on Saturday I made the most of the weather and sat in the garden drinking moijito and reading my book – bliss. We bought a Dominos after bowling yesterday and had the leftovers for lunch today.
I’m excited to see that I can finally get Spencer a Coke bottle with his name on, I didn’t expect them to be coming to our local Tesco. This Muller corner got me so excited, it was gorgeous and the chocolately layer underneath was a very welcome surprise.
I also did the accent tag on Instagram so if you’re curious about my accent (which by the way is very annoying) you can listen to it on Instagram – my username is Stundon.
I hope you’ve all had as much fun this week 🙂
