I made these back in April and completely forgot to share the recipe with you, I do apologise for that as these are absolutely amazing and you really must make them!
For the brownie layer you will need :
10 tbsp unsalted butter
1 1/4 cups Demerara
3/4 cup cocoa powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 large eggs
1/2 cup plain flour
For the Oreo layer:
Two packets of Oreos (this way you have plenty for the brownies & plenty to munch on during cooking 🙂
For the Cookie Dough layer:
1/2 cup unsalted butter (at room temp)
1/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup white sugar
1 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/4 cups plain flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Pre-heat the oven to gas mark 4.
Melt the butter in a saucepan. Add the sugar and cocoa powder once the butter is melted. Whisk to combine and remove from heat.
Add the salt, vanilla and eggs. Continuously whisk until the eggs are combined.
Add the flour and continue to mix. Set brownie mixture aside.
Cream together the butter and sugars. I get stuck in with my hands here, it feels so yucky but also strangely satisfying.
Add the eggs and vanilla, making sure to scrape down the sides of the mixing bowl.
Add the flour, salt, baking soda and baking powder and mix well. Fold in the chocolate chips. Set cookie dough aside.
Line the bottom of a baking tray with foil. Spread the cookie dough onto the tray, pressing down to form the bottom of the slutty brownies.
Layer the Oreos on top of the cookie dough.
Pour the brownie mixture on top, making sure that it goes on evenly.
Bake for 30-35 minutes in the centre of the oven.
Then enjoy 🙂 This gooey, filthy treat is best eaten warm with ice cream.
