Homeware Wishlist : Living Room Inspiration

Homeware Wishlist : Living Room Inspiration
Following our house valuation we have decided that we will be staying put here for a little while longer. As a result I now want to re-decorate. First on my list is the living room, this was the first thing we decorated when we moved in five years ago and it now looks really quite drab and dated. We decorated the dining room a while back with a lovely pale blue colour, as the rooms are adjoined I am going to be painting the living room the same colour. It is quite a cold colour so I want to add some splashes of colour to warm it up, I’m quite liking the yellow and blue theme.

I’m also thinking of buying some Annie Sloan chalk paint to give the wooden fireplace surround a make over. I quite like the idea of buying the squirrel clock and painting him the same colour. Have any of you tried chalk paint?

I want some bold and bright wall art to finish it off but am really struggling to think of where I can get some, does anyone have any recommendations?

It is really important, in fairness our living room is quite homely at the moment but it feels dated, any excuse for a freshen up hey! x

Etsy is great, I don't send anywhere near enough time browsing it. Which is actually probably a good thing as I'd never have any money! x
