We went to Banbury on the weekend and decided to stop at Bicester Village on the way home. As its January I didn’t have a huge amount to spend (who am I kidding, I never have a huge amount to spend) but thankfully my husband had his credit card with him (I’m not trusted enough to have my own).
My plan for the day was to purchase a Cath Kidston mug and stroke a Michael Kors watch, there was never any intention to bring a watch home. Whoops.
I bought this pretty mug from Cath Kidston for just £3. There were quite a few other items that I wanted in there but Michael Kors happened before we made it to this shop so I resisted. I had hoped to purchase a diary in Cath Kidston too but they had sold out.
I’ve broken out in a lot of spots over the past few weeks which prompted me to pick up the Origins Super Spot remover when I saw it in The Cosmetics Company Store. This cost £10.50 in the outlet which is slightly cheaper than the usual £14 price tag. They had Estee Lauder Double Wear in stock for just £19 which is a huge saving on the RRP, annoyingly they didn’t have my shade, believe me I tried so hard to find a match.
Last but not least, the unplanned splurge of the day. I went, I saw, I stroked, I stole hubby’s credit card. I had absolutely no intention of buying a watch, even when I asked to try it on I was not going to buy it. The sales assistant then told me the price, £189. A quick Google informed me that this watch is now discontinued but had originally retailed at £279, cue loads of nagging the husband and me leaving with a sparkly new watch and promises to repay him.
We had a great day at Bicester, it wasn’t as busy as we had expected but it was a horrible, rainy day which could be why. There were plenty of great bargains to be had in various stores including Vivienne Westwood and Mulberry. I stroked a few Mulberry’s but even at half price I unfortunately can’t justify that splurge. The Cosmetics Company Store is a bloggers heaven, it stocks a wide range of brands owned by Estee Lauder including Mac, Bobbi Brown and Smashbox.
Time to start saving for my next visit…
