Kitchen Re-Shuffle with IKEA Variera – 2014 Organisation

On a recent IKEA trip we decided to pick up some of their Variera shelf dividers, our kitchen is teeny tiny and we are always in need of extra storage. I had no idea where I would use them but knew that I would find somewhere so I grabbed one in each size.
I decided to use the largest Variera in the cupboard that holds our plates. There is so much empty space in this cupboard, it really wasn’t utilised well at all. With the divider in place I can store all of my plates on the one shelf which frees up a another shelf for my mixing bowls. The large Variera costs £3 (link).
We have a bit of an addiction to flavoured teas, hot chocolates and coffees in our little home. They are literally taking over our tiny kitchen. I have used the smaller divider to make this area look a little neater, it is still quite cluttered but it has helped to utilise the area a little. The small Variera costs £2 (link).
The Variera shelf dividers can be screwed into place as a permanent fixture, but are sturdy enough without being screwed in. I haven’t bothered to screw mine in as we are having a new kitchen soon (yay!!).
I included this photo just because a Kilner jar of marshmallows looks pretty.

This is excellent – I think I need some of these. My kitchen cupboards are looking a little unloved at the moment!
