Hotel Review : Oldwalls Gower

Hotel Review : Oldwalls Gower
A couple of weeks ago we travelled to Oldwalls Gower for a friends Wedding evening. As it was quite a long journey Spencer and I decided to stay overnight. We made the most of it by arriving quite and getting ready for the evening at the gorgeous hotel. Our room consisted of a large bedroom and a large bathroom.
I really liked the décor in the bedroom, it felt more like a home from home rather than a hotel room. I’m guessing that the rooms have been quite recently decorated as it didn’t look tired in the slightest. I loved the small touches such as the matching light shades and heart shaped coasters. The only downside to the room is that it is very dark with the blinds closed. Our windows looked onto the hotel’s garden, which was very pretty, but not really ideal when you are getting ready and the Wedding party are stood out there having their photos taken. We kept the blinds closed for our privacy and found that the light really wasn’t bright enough (which is also why my photos aren’t very good!).
Again, I am assuming that the bathroom has been recently made over as everything is in immaculate condition. The bath was a lovely size and the stand alone shower so powerful, Spencer actually thought that he may have had bruises from the power of the water!
We stayed for Champagne breakfast the following morning which unfortunately I didn’t enjoy as my body didn’t thank me for drinking as much as I did at the Wedding evening. Spencer, however, thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast buffet.
Oldwalls is perfect for a Wedding or a romantic, luxurious getaway. The grounds are beautiful and are home to the most perfect swing EVER. I need this swing in my garden.
The staff that we saw during our stay we all very helpful and really wanted to make our stay special. All in all it is a great hotel.

The room looks gorgeous, very homely! Sometimes I think hotels can feel a bit cold and clinical. The bathroom looks amazing too! x
