Lollipops & Ladybirds Cwmbran

Lollipops & Ladybirds Cwmbran
Cwmbran based Lollipops & Ladybirds is a cafe with a difference, not only is it a cafe geared towards young children and babies it also has a pottery service and plays host to many baby/toddler related groups.

At Lollipops & Ladybirds you can enjoy a delicious slice of home made cake and a hot drink for just £3.50 while having your baby’s prints taken for a special keepsake. As well as coffee & cake there is also a lunch menu, offering a choice of panini’s, jacket potatoes, sandwiches, wraps, and sometimes Syn free Slimming World quiche.
Both parents and children are welcome for a good natter over food, to paint some pottery or to join in with any of their various groups. There are high chairs, bouncers and a soft play area all completely free to use.
The interior of the cafe is light and airy and is full of examples of the gorgeous pottery that you can purchase. It is light and spacious and there is plenty of room for prams.
Lollipops & Ladybirds sell gift vouchers which is an ideal present for a Christening or a new baby, my friend bought us one when Aria arrived. I decided to use it against a beautiful jug vase with her foot prints on, they can’t have hand prints until they are six months old.

At £38 the vase is expensive, but the price you see is what you pay, unlike some other keepsake companies there are no additional charges for painting. The vase (and all other pottery) is completely customisable, you can choose the colours, the pattern, the text and the placement of the prints.

As well as being based in Cwmbran Lollipops & Ladybirds also have regular pop-up events at Cafe Junior in Cardiff, like them on facebook to find out when they are there.

Lollipops & Ladybirds is fast becoming my favourite coffee/lunch stop, the staff are friendly, there are decent baby changing facilities and I can take Aria in the pushchair without feeling like I am in the way.

This place sounds and looks lovely! I've not heard of it, although Cwmbran is a bit of a trek from Cardiff – I will have to keep an eye out for their pop-up! xx
