As mentioned previously I, along with Aria in the pushchair, will be taking part in Race for Life* this year to raise money for Cancer Research UK. Read on to find out how I have been preparing for the event.
I’ve been taking my preparation quite slowly as I haven’t long had a baby and am a stranger to exercise. As I’ll be taking the pushchair I’m not going to be running the race, instead I plan to speed walk. I’ve taken part in the Race for Life in Cwmbran previously and I know that the course is flat, but quite bumpy, so taking the pushchair will be quite challenging.
In preparation for Race for Life I have been using Map My Walk on my phone, this records my walk, pace, calories burnt, etc. I walk this particular walk regularly, even though it isn’t the same distance as the race it is up hill so it is more challenging than Race for Life will be. I am competing with myself and pushing myself a little harder each time to beat my last time.
Once I have completed my walk I treat myself to a little relaxation using these Sanctuary products.*
