Review : Mustela Baby Bath & Skin Products

There are so many baby products on the market nowadays, all claiming to be the best yet. Finding the right product for you and your baby can be both difficult and overwhelming. We were recently sent a bundle of Mustela bath & skin products* for review purposes. Mustela stock a wide range of products for expectant mothers, babies and children. They have an eco friendly policy and their products are specially designed to minimise their impact on the environment. Products in the Mustela Bébé range contain, on average, 92% ingredients of natural origin.

We received the face cream, soap, cleansing gel for hair & body, body lotion and no-rinse cleansing fluid. At first I was a little confused by the wide range of products, the majority of the text is written in French and some of the writing is quite small, it took me a while to figure out exactly what each product was for. A little bit of squinting later I had easily figured out what was what and was able to start using them.

The products have a uniform scent and the scent hangs around. At first I wasn’t keen on the scent, I think the only reason for this was because I have been using pretty much the same products on Aria since birth, so Aria didn’t smell like Aria after using these. Now that I’ve been using these products for a while I love the scent, it smells so clean. Even my mother commented on how clean Aria smelt.

My favourite product from the range is the no-rinse cleansing fluid. This is recommended for use on both the face and nappy area. At first I thought this seemed a little pointless as I use baby wipes for cleaning in between baths. I decided to give it a go, just on her face as I can’t be dealing with cotton wool and poos, and have now fallen in love with it. Food comes off so much easier with this fluid than it does with a baby wipe, a small drop of this on cotton wool works wonders at removing encrusted baked bean juice from Aria’s pretty face.

All of these products contain 0% paraben, phtalate and phenoxyethanol and are made with natural ingredients where possible. Mustela stock a great range of baby bath and skin products, after sampling these I would definitely buy them again, and am also eager to try other items from the range, including the cradle cap treatment and the sensory bubble bath.

Mustela products can be bought from several retailers including Chemist Direct and Escentual.

Have you tried any products from the Mustela range? If not, will you be trying them?

The no rinse cleanser was a very welcome discovery, I guess it's a little bit like make up remover lol, it works wonders at getting rid of food.
