Aria has a better social life than me. This month alone she has three parties to attend. I currently only have one party dress for her which just won’t do, she can’t be seen in the same social circles wearing the same dress all the time now can she? She has an amazing casual wardrobe (better than mine) but her ever increasing popularity means that I really need to work on the party wardrobe.
I’ve picked some of my favourite party dresses from Matalan, Next and Esprit, all available in Aria’s current size 6-9 months.
Next £14 || Next £13 || Matalan £10 || Matalan £10 || Esprit £29 || Esprit £19
The pink and floral theme here is completely unintentional, I hadn’t realised just how drawn I was to pink florals until putting this collage together, well, maybe I had…
The denim blue dress sticks out like a sore thumb in amongst this lot but I really like it and was instantly drawn to it, Aria suits blue so I know this would look good on her.
Which of these party dresses is your favourite? Where do you tend to buy your children’s party clothing?
I love everything about Autumn (when the sun is shining). I love the colours, I love the fashions, I love pumpkin spice lattes, I love hot dogs while watching the fireworks, I love everything. I popped into town today and got very excited by the gorgeous Autumn clothing currently in the shops, which has inspired me to put together a little Autumn clothing wish list, it really is about time I bought some clothes for myself for a change.
I have fallen for quite a few items from New Look and Esprit which are featured above. These items would make great staples for the Autumn/Winter season. My favourite items are numbers five and six, though I’m not sure I could pull them off together with my short, chunky legs! I also think that number three and six would look amazing paired with thick black tights (hello Primark super cosy tights!) and either number four or number two. I have included number one as I think it would look lovely teamed with either jeans or a skirt for pretty much any occasion.
There are a lot of various colour trends this year, my favourites are the burgundys, reds and tans. Fur and leather are popping up a lot too. I am also pleased to see tartan appearing again this year, you really can’t beat a nice tartan print for Autumn/Winter.
What trends are you lusting after this season? What are your favourite things about Autumn? Feel free to link to any Autumn fashion posts of your own below, I would love to see them!
Now that Aria is four months old she is finally fitting into 0-3 months clothing! The problem with her being so small is that the majority of 0-3 month clothing that we have for her is suited for colder weather than what we are currently experiencing, which means that I will have to go on a Summer clothing shopping spree for her.
These are some of my favourite picks from Esprit
. You’ll notice that there is a lot of yellow in my list, I am absolutely loving Aria in yellow at the moment, I’ve got a few of Aria’s outfits to post on here and one of them is her wearing a gorgeous lemon playsuit which is just beautiful.
I don’t think I have any skirts or shorts in Aria’s wardrobe which is why I’ve added a few here, I think she would look so cute in a little denim skirt especially.
Of course, I had to add an headband in, as you have probably gathered by now I love putting headbands on her. You can buy them so cheaply and they look incredibly cute on, it is also a great way of people being able to easily identify that your baby is a girl.
We’re not sure if Aria is teething or not, she is displaying all of the signs and has been for a while, but there are no teeth just yet. One of the signs that she is massively displaying is dribbling, a lot, which is why I have included a bib in this wishlist. I think that bibs can ruin how an outfit looks, but unfortunately sometimes they are an essential, I try and look for cute bibs that will compliment an outfit rather than ruin it.
What colours and style of clothing do you like to see your baby in during the Summer?
What a lot of people don’t consider when pregnant, or at least we didn’t, is the fact that you can’t hold up an umbrella when in charge of a pushchair. Whilst you can buy umbrellas that attach to the pushchair I’m really not convinced that these would hold up well in the wind. I have visions of me fighting with an umbrella that is clipped onto Aria’s pushchair while getting soaking wet and just looking ridiculous! As a result both myself and Spencer are going to need to invest in a lightweight coat with a hood for the dreaded April showers, and knowing Britain, the entire Summer!
While searching the internet for coats with hoods I came across the brand Esprit
and fell quite quickly in love, their selection of practical clothing is fantastic, their home ware section is to die for (there are so many cushions that I didn’t know I needed, I just need to persuade Spencer that we need them!) and the kids clothing section is ridiculously cute. We have an absolutely ridiculous amount of clothes for Aria so I must resist, though it is difficult to.
These are a few of my favourite coats for both myself and Spencer, links left to right.
Which coat is your favourite for me and for Spencer? I think the first is my favourite and Spencer prefers the last of the men’s in this list.
