Blogging Income & Stats January 2017

This month has been a worry as it is my first month where blogging has been my sole income. To be honest I think that every subsequent month from now on will be a worry. Thankfully I needn’t have worried this month. I earned a little more than I would in a part time job which is the main aim.

I’ve really struggled this month, the plan is for me to have childcare three days a week so that I can knuckle down and work, this month however the first week Aria was ill so I only had two days childcare and the third week Aria was ill so I had no childcare. Thankfully I managed to plow through and get quite a bit done, I now have a laptop which is a great help because it means that when she is ill and just watching Peppa Pig I can crack on and do some work done.

Thankfully a lot of people are researching Slimming World recipes right now so I received a lot of traffic from Pinterest and didn’t see a dip where I may have normally. I have also really been working at social media promoting and this is beginning to show.

January ended up being one of my best month’s, if not THE best month, for me traffic wise. My blog received 23,277 page views 13,602 of which were from unique users. I finished the month with a domain authority of 28 and a Klout score of 71. The top 100 of Tots100 has been a very distant dream of mine for so long, but for now, I am smugly sitting pretty at 90!  My followings on the 1st January are as follows :

Blogging Income & Stats December 2016

December wasn’t a great month income wise which is entirely my fault as I’ve slacked. I had a last minute holiday which meant working extra days the week before to make time up, I took my Mac on holiday with me with good intentions but while I was away I decided to enjoy my holiday and take a break. This combined with the fact that I attempted (and failed) Vlogmas and the Christmas preparations meant that I had very little time for blogging.

an honest income and stats report of a part time blogger in December 2016

As expected when I took a chunk of the month off blogging my stats took a dip, thankfully google searches and the competitions that I had running meant that they didn’t fall too low. My blog received 15,684 page views 7,944 of which were from unique users. I finished the month with a domain authority of 29 and a Klout score of 69. As hoped my Tots ranking is climbing back up and I’m now ranked 147. My followings on the 1st December were as follows :

Review items/products to promote were : Aveeno products, 2 x phone cases, Degustabox, bread maker, Bluestone Holiday and Teapigs matcha.

I currently have outstanding sponsored post fees totalling £100, I’m 60p away from the payment threshold on Adsense so am hoping to receive that £60 this month and I have £18 of eBay commission which should be paid this month. January is the first month that I am relying on my income from my blog so seeing so little outstanding is making me really panic, I must work hard, I must work hard.

Blogging Income & Stats November 2016

November has been insane. I have been super stressed, working A LOT and just generally not getting much done around the house. Apologies if I’ve ignored you, I’ve missed so many notifications as everything is just super busy (that’s a whole vlog which is actually coming soon!). Which is why it is a huge relief to see how much it has paid off. For the first time EVER I have made over £1,000 in cash alone through blogging!

Blogging Income & Stats October 2016

I don’t like to blow my own trumpet but I had a really good blogging month in October. I’m feeling really positive about blogging at the moment, and despite struggling towards the end of the month as Aria had tonsillitis followed by hand, foot & mouth I feel that I achieved a lot. So, here goes, here are my stats, income and review items received in October.

Blogging Income & Stats September 2016

My blog mojo finally seems to have returned, even this week while battling a Winter cold and flu I have managed to post EVERY SINGLE DAY! Can I get a round of applause please? While September wasn’t a great month income wise I certainly made up for it with review items, I received some fantastic goodies and am looking forward to sharing them with you soon. The sponsored posts seem to be picking up again and I am really hoping for some good income months going forward, especially in the run up to Christmas.
