Autumn is my favourite time of the year. Not soggy wet Autumn, but crisp, sunny Autumn. When the leaves are golden, the sun is shining and everything feels fresh. Becoming a dog owner has taken my love of this time of the year to a new extreme, Dobby needs walking which sees me going out for Autumnal strolls sometimes 2-3 times a day.
I love everything about Autumn. I love the colours, I love the freshness, I love the fashion, I love Halloween and I love bonfire night, the smell of fireworks in the air and the child like feelings that it stirs. Autumn is a time when it really is great to be at one with nature, to feel the crunch of the leaves beneath my feet, to collect pine cones, conkers and chestnuts from the floor.
One of my favourite Autumn colours is burgundy, I love burgundy clothing, burgundy lipstick, burgundy everything – I would even have burgundy hair if I wasn’t too lazy to deal with the upkeep! This black & burgundy asymmetric checked shirt ticks all the Autumnal boxes for me. Burgundy, long and flowing and perfect for layering. Teamed with jeggings and lace up boots this is the perfect Autumn outfit for me.
Dobby also wanted to get in on the Autumn clothing action with his red tartan coat, and Aria with her Autumnal outfit and chocolate chops!

If you know me you will know that I love a big of mummy daughter twinning. Subtle twinning or damn right carbon copies, I’m happy with either! When Not for Ponies got in touch asking if I would like to pick something for their site I did a happy dance inside. When I spotted their unicorn sweatshirt and t-shirt I did a happy dance outside! When Not For Ponies offered up a prize for one of my readers I did a big squeal!
I love the subtly of these matching tops, the twinning isn’t IN YOUR FACE twinning, it’s just a cute little matching unicorn, or unicorn horsey according to Aria. The sizes are true to fit, I ordered a XXL (UK 16-18) and it’s the perfect, baggy sweater that I had hoped for. The kids clothing starts at age 3-4 which is a little big for my teeny tiny almost 3 year old, but tucked in she rocks it, and it’s going to last her a long, long time! They do run a baby wear range but I needed the unicorns and this particular top isn’t available in the baby range.
Not For Ponies have a fab selection of t-shirts and jumpers including the cutest Christmas range ever. I’m torn between the panda and the pug jumpers, seriously amazing!
As part of my 12 days of Christmas one of my readers can WIN a children’s Christmas jumper of their choice! As usual entry is easy, simply fill in the Rafflecopter form below – good luck!

It’s not very often that we have an excuse to get all dressed up, so when we do we, or at least I, like to really make an effort, assuming that I have time! We were recently invited to a Christening, and so, of course, I trawled the internet in search of the perfect outfit. I ended up at my go to shop, Yours Clothing, which is where I fell in love with this beauty of a dress.
When the dress first arrived I wasn’t sure I would like it, the fabric felt as though it would cling to me which is something that I dread. I went ahead and tried it on and instantly realised just how wrong I was, the dress is possibly the most flattering dress EVER in the history of flattering dresses. The dress covers my flabby arms, conceals my mum tie and enhances my waist, add to this the gorgeous colours and pattern and it ticks every box.
With a new dress came new heels which is always a worry as I don’t do heels. I needn’t have worried, the comfort insole in these platform heels* meant that I happily strutted around in them all day right through until the early evening.
Needless to say Spencer and Aria also scrubbed up pretty well, Aria wore her Roco clothing dress and shoes and Spencer wore an old blazer from H&M.
Getting ready in the new house was no easy feat. I couldn’t find my hair dryer, my hair straighteners or a nice lipstick, yet somehow we still made it to Church on time!
