Chicago Town Pizzas – New Releases

17th August 2015
A little while back Chicago Town* contacted me asking if I would like to trial some of their new range, Spencer and I are huge fans of Chicago Town pizzas, they are perfect to keep in the freezer in readiness to microwave on lazy days.
There are several delicious new pizzas to choose from, including new toppings on old favourites The Sub & The Deep Dish and a whole new pizza style, The Pizza Melt.

We couldn’t wait to tuck into the Pizza Melts, a burger/pizza hybrid that solves the problem of messy hands when shovelling your pizza into your gob! We tried the Meat Supreme and Pepperoni and were not disappointed. The bun is perfectly crispy without being too chewy, there is just the right amount of filling and they are lovely to eat, I worried that it may all drag out in one bite but it doesn’t, it stays in place and is consistent throughout. As I’m slimming I had half of one with salad, a satisfying meal which came in at 13 syns which is under my daily allowance.

We also tried a cheese & tomato sub and the chicken & bacon club deep dish. I was extremely naughty this day and ate a whole pizza, I served it with roast vegetables which made me feel a little less guilty, especially in comparison to Spencer who ate a whole pizza & sub with no veg!

All in all we thoroughly enjoyed the items that we trialled, there are some other delicious sounding toppings including Sloppy Joe and Pulled Pork, they are clearly rather popular as the freezers had almost been cleared of them when we went to Asda to collect ours.
All pizzas, bar the Pizza Melt, are available from all major supermarkets, the Pizza Melt is currently only available at Asda which is a bit of a pain when your local supermarket is Tesco. Are you a pizza fancy? Are any of these making you drool a little, or a lot?

I love the idea of the pizza melts – a pizza flipping butty!?!? My husband would be in his element.
