As parents we try our best to instil healthy habits into our children, but personally, I struggle to keep my daughter interested. I’m not ashamed to admit that I heavily rely on her school to back me up when it comes to teaching her all about adapting a health lifestyle. Thankfully her school are a health conscious school. They provide fruit for the children to snack on, the school meals are well balanced and they have regular, fun sports sessions where they jump up and down like different animals, burn off a load of energy and have a good old giggle. I love that they make exercise so much fun for them.

However, everyone could do with a little encouragement and schools are often lacking in budget to be able to provide the equipment that they need, which is why Aldi’s Kit for Schools is the perfect campaign. Kit for Schools is an initiative designed to create healthy habits while having fun and potentially winning prizes for your school. What’s not to love? There isn’t just one prize, Aldi are offering 20 schools across the UK the chance to win £20,000 each through the Kit For Schools campaign so that they can purchase equipment to build a healthy legacy; and that’s not all, Aldi will be offering a Sports Kit to all schools who complete a poster, which includes relay batons, cones and bibs.

The reason that I’m sharing this with you, the parents, is that your school needs you to help them win. To be entered into the prize draw, schools will need to have filled their chart with stickers, and from 6th September Aldi shoppers will receive stickers every time they spend £30 or more in store, the stickers can then be taken into schools and added to their sticker chart. (you’ll receive one sticker per £30 spent, so spend £60 and receive two stickers, and so on).

The chart is packed full of activities, facts and challenges to improve knowledge and encourage fun activities, simple things such as ‘arrive/leave assembly like a rower’, ‘eat potatoes with their skins on this week’, ‘name three fruits or veg beginning with P’.

The stickers feature various Team GB athletes along with their hometown, birthday and their discipline.

We will definitely be collecting stickers for Aria’s school, it would be so nice to see her small school win one of the top prizes, just think of the excess energy she can burn off with all that extra exercise equipment, maybe I’ll finally get some peace and quiet! Now to hide those stickers from her before she peels and wears them…

We were so surprised at how quiet it was! Our usual Aldi was closed for a refurb so went to a different store to usual, and are very tempted to keep going to that store now!
