Last Minute Mother’s Day Gift Guide

Last Minute Mother’s Day Gift Guide
Whilst I appreciate Mother’s Day every year I am a lot more excited about it this year as it is my first ever year celebrating it as a mother myself. With giving birth just two weeks before Mother’s Day I haven’t been very organised with arranging a gift for my own mother so have had to buy something local rather than on-line.

If you too have left it until the very last minute here are some great gifts that you can pick up from your local shopping centre/supermarket.
Posh Sweet Treats*. Most mother’s will appreciate something delicious and sugar filled, even diabetic mother’s like mine who really shouldn’t have them! As it is a special occasion not just any sweet treat will do, you need something luxurious such as these delicious treats from M&S.
Flowers. Flowers are one of the most obvious gifts for Mother’s Day. Instead of spending a fortune on having flowers delivered from a large brand why not pick up a nice bouquet from a local florist, not only saving you pounds but supporting a local business.
Honeycomb Vase. As well as buying flowers how about maybe buying a vase to put said flowers in? I bought this one from ASDA.
Smellies. While the likes of you and I may receive smellies every year for Christmas, Birthday, Easter, etc our mother’s don’t necessarily get many. I remember buying my mam some a few years back and she was so pleased as no one ever buys her nice lotions and potions. I picked up this set from TK Maxx.
St David’ Gift Voucher*. Last but by no means least, a gift voucher is always a safe bet. If you buy a voucher for a large shopping centre such as St David’s, Cardiff, your mother will have a huge choice on how to spend it and could even use it for a nice day out, maybe having a makeover and a meal, or just to treat herself to a nice outfit.
