The Unintentionally Rude Blogger

The Unintentionally Rude Blogger

I hate rude people. Those of you who know me in real life will know this. I’m always picking up on rudeness from others and very often correcting them, which is why being an unintentionally rude blogger is hard for me, and one of many reasons why I’m leaving my job to pursue my blogging career.

The unintentionally rude blogger - I'm a blogger who doesn't reply to comments - I'm not being rude, I just don't have the time .

I never intend to be rude, but when you work 18 hours a week, look after an almost 2 year old and blog in your spare time it is impossible to keep up with everything.

I rarely reply to comments, comments on my blog and my Instagram are almost always left ignored. I often intend to re-visit that persons account and reply there but it rarely happens. Not replying often leaves me feeling guilty but unfortunately I just don’t have the time, how the bloggers who receive and reply to thousands of comments daily manage is beyond me, I salute them.

My blogging time is limited, I can either create new content, film and take photos, reply to emails offering great opportunities or reply to comments. Unfortunately replying to comments has to be the lowest priority. As I type this I haven’t replied to emails for a week, how am I supposed to find the time to reply to emails let alone comments?

This lack of time is one of the reasons that I have decided to leave my dream job and make blogging my job. I’m very lucky as many people don’t ever get the chance to work in one dream job, and here I am in the position of having to pick one dream job over the other. Whilst lucky it’s also bloody tough.

Choosing blogging as my career means that I can push even harder at this hobby of mine that has bought me so many amazing opportunities, amazing experiences and, most importantly, amazing friends. Choosing blogging as my career means that I can spend a lot more time with my daughter. Choosing blogging as my career means that we save a fortune in nursery fees. Choosing blogging as my career means that I no longer have to be unintentionally rude.

Hopefully, come January, I will no longer be the unintentionally rude blogger.

You are not rude! I still don't find enough time to reply to everyone but it is a little easier. Hope your new venture as solely a blogger is everything you hope it is and more. xx

More and more people are giving up work to blog. Congrats and I hope it's a success for you. P.s. I've never found you to be rude xx

I would never ever think of
You as rude but I am the same. I also don't get the time to comment on other blog posts like I would like to but put the time into creating new content instead. I hope I manage my time better in the future and find a way to respond to everyone (I wasted two work days on emails and not blogging this week, it has to be done but so frustrating x

I definitely know the feeling. I kick myself constantly about not replying to blogs, bu blogging is already a guilty pleasure. When I have time for it, I generally write a post.

It's so hard to keep up with comments isn't it, I don't always get round to replying to them but I do leave comments and the blogs I read to balance it out. Good luck with blogging full time 🙂

Ooh exciting about quitting your job! I'm exactly the same, I just don't know how people find the time xx

I really struggle to keep up with replying to comments, especially on Instagram. It's so hard to forget about it.
Good luck with your blogging career x

Whilst it is nice to have a reply to comments, I never find someone to be rude if they don't reply. I think especially within the family blogging sphere, it is understandable that comments go unanswered – there just isn't enough hours in the day!

Wishing you the best of luck with this new chapter of yours!
