Week in Photos #92

6th January 2013
I can’t believe new years eve happened this week, it seems like so long ago now. These are some snapshots of my preparations for the evening. I’ll review the Rio electric threader when I have used it a few times.
I’ve become addicted to these ham and homemade coleslaw baguettes from the local market.
I had a bowl of mussels Friday night to try and compensate for the fact that we couldn’t afford to go to Cafe Rouge with our friends.
We bought hazelnut & caramel coffee today, they were on offer for something like £2 in Tesco, I’ve tried the caramel so far, it is amazing.
We bought some mini macaroons and a Chinese meal from Marks & Spencer’s with a voucher we had. The macaroons were delicious. The Chinese wasn’t really all that, it was all quite bland.
Sushi on quick sale in Tesco today – result.
King prawns with spaghetti and Philadelphia sauce. I just randomly mixed together Phily, milk, butter, herbs and pepper for the sauce. It was lovely.
I’ve had pizza three times this week, so bad! The Dominos was for the new years day, the third time was just the leftovers heated up so it wasn’t that bad….
Bacon and brie rolls are one of my favourites.
We had a ‘healthy’ fry up for breakfast one morning, all cooked in the good old George Foreman.
I finally washed my make-up brushes this morning, I always put off doing it.
I want to stud my Converse. I only have three studs though so need to buy a few more first, I think it’ll look fab.
I’m still loving the ombre hair.
I loved this random LIDL’s graffiti!
My new iPad cleaner is a cutie.
My Wedding ring has been doing awful things to my poor finger. Not sure why, it can’t be an allergic reaction because it is white gold as is the engagement ring I’ve been wearing for years. I’ve been using loads of handcream which seems to be helping.
I’ve now put my 30 by 30 list on my blog, I’ve been working on it for a while now but am struggling to think of the last two things – any suggestions?
My new calendar is so apt!
We had a day out in Chepstow yesterday, we went shopping, ate and visited the castle. It was a great day out and I picked up some bargain vintage bottles. I’ll do a full post on the day soon.
I hope you’ve had a fun packed week.

RE the wedding ring: mine does the same – I think it's where there are two rings there, and you never quite get dry underneath when you wash your hands / wash up etc, so the skin goes a bit funny (that is if you're anything like me – mine NEVER come off, i don't trust myself to remember to pick them up again!)
I find if I have a day or two a month (usually on a weekend when I'm at home) where I don't where either of them, it dries up / gets better.
    HTH!!

Thanks for your advice. I did wonder if it was from not drying under them properly. Mine don't come off either, I would loose them!
I have been making a cautious effort to move them up and dry properly and the problems seems to have passed *touches wood* xx
