What I Wore : Casual Rainy Day

12th October 2015
Having a baby in a pushchair means that I can no longer reach for my umbrella when it rains, I could try but I am not good at steering that thing at the best of times, steering it while holding an umbrella would end in a crash. As a result I need a good rain coat.

The Kendal coat from Target Dry is a great choice for me, it is light enough that I don’t get too warm but thick enough that I’m not freezing. It is pretty and looks good worn smart and casual. It has cute floral print detail.

The sleeves are a little long on me because I’m a shorty and sleeves always are long on me. I would say that the coat fit is very good and the quality is superb. The coat nips in at the waist which is very flattering, on my figure at least.

The shoes aren’t so great for the rain but they were cheap and they look good.

Are you brave enough to tackle both the pushchair and an umbrella or do you opt for a decent waterproof coat too?

Love the colour of the coat. It looks great. I defo don't attempt to carry an umbrella with the buggy although more often than not I'm not wearing a coat either lol x

Thanks Kerry. I'm glad it isn't just me who is dangerous with an umbrella and buggy! I couldn't cope without my coat though!

I love the colour of the coat. It would definitely brighten up a dull and rainy day. I would use this coat on the school run as it always seems to rain come 3.15pm x

ahh yes the typical school run rain! I'm sure I'll be needing this (or a similar coat!) when Aria is in school still!

I love the floral pattern on the inside of this coat, sounds like a great one for all weathers x

The floral pattern is what I love too, it makes it that little bit different and real pretty!

This is so pretty, and functional too! I never get myself a decent rain coat and always end up soggy in a hoody. I'm no good at steering and holding an umbrella too, and I'm always jealous of being cozy under the rain cover! Xx

I would love to go under the rain covers ha!

Ooh, I like that a lot! This post has taken me right back to when my little one was in a pram and every time it rained I thought, "I must get a raincoat soon!" and for the two or three years until he was walking, I never did and just got soaked all the time!

haha I've been the same, every time I get wet I plan to go home and order one but I always get distracted, I'm so relieved I finally have one!
